Green Star Award
We challenge ourselves to lead the way with environmental conservation and stewardship. In 2012, we implemented the Green Star Initiative to recognize the important strides we make in our facilities.
Every single one of our locations rose to the challenge in FY23, with each earning at least one star and claiming 69 percent of available star awards overall.
One of our teams earned all five stars. Our Steel facility in Columbus, Ohio adopted a process improvement initiative to optimize oxygen flow, resulting in a reduction of 19M+ CF annual hydrogen consumption.

In 2022, as part of Worthington Industries, our total case incident report per 100 employees was nearly two times better than the industry average within the Primary Metal Manufacturing category, as reported by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
